The Gentlemen of Excellence (GOE) is a ministry within New Hope Church of God in Christ, Maysville, North Carolina. GOE consists of a group of young men who use mime as a way to praise Jesus Christ the Lord. Using music they act out a story through dance and body motions, without the use of speech.The purpose of GOE is to praise and magnify the Lord through the ministry of Mime by utilizing physical interpretation and movement with their bodies to touch God’s people.
The group has found inspiration and guidance from the founders of The Gentlemen of Excellence, Deacon Schumata Brown and Minister Kenneth Hill.
No church is too small nor too big for GOE to minister in. Due to the teachings of Pastor Blackwell, GOE is not satisfied with doing anything less than the best.
