New Hope

The G.I.R.L.S. Program (Getting Involved in Real Life-learning Situations) is designed to:

 

• To develop a sense of hope, optimism and unity that will allow young ladies to take action to alter their perceptions that limit their role in society
• Empower young ladies with tools and knowledge needed to understand how social, economic and political issues will impact their lives today and in the future
• To create positive changes in the homes, communities that will influence other young ladies to partake in G.I.R.L.S.
• To advocate that school builds character and offers positive life-changing opportunities to inspire young ladies to be intelligent and confident.
• To develop a sense of appreciation and respect for multicultural issues that affects them along with common threads that links them together to make this a better world

 

The Program Directors believe that Empowerment and education are the tools to building self-esteem. It is necessary for our young ladies to understand who they are and to be aware of the opportunities to use their talents and skills to widen their roles and status in society.

Our young ladies are our potential educators and nurturers of the whole family.
